totally a crochet pattern for an awesome batman

Stitches:  SC (single crochet), INC (increase), DCRS (decrease), CH (chain)

Materials:
5.5 crochet hook
skein of black yarn
skein of grey yarn
tan or peach yarn (for the face)
a bit of white yarn (eyes)
a bit of yellow (for the belt)

Head:  (starting in black)
R1: 6 SC
R2: increase all around (12)
R3: SC 1, INC  around (18)
R4: SC2, INC  around (24)
R5: SC3, INC around (30)
R6: SC4, INC around (36)
R7: SC5, INC around (42)
R8: SC6, INC around (48)
R9: SC7, INC around (54)
R10-11: SC around (54)
R12: SC7, DCRS around (48)
R13: SC6, DCRS around (42)
R14: SC5, DCRS 3x (this is when you will change colors to tan and finish the round SC5, DCRS)(36)
R15: (change back to black) SC4, DCRS 3x (finish the round in tan SC4 DCRS)(30)
R16: (black) SC3, DCRS 3x (tan) SC3 DCRS finish the round (24)
R17: (black) SC2, DCRS 3x (tan) SC2 DCRS the rest of the round (18)
R18: (black) SC1, DCRS 3x (tan) SC1, DCRS the rest of the round (12)
R19: (black) DCRS the round

Body: (in grey)
R1: CH 31
R2: SC 2^nd CH from hook the rest of the row SC (30)

(stuff and sew ends together making a rectangle)

Arms/legs make 4: (starting in black)
R1: SC 6
R2: INC all around (12)
R3: SC1, INC around (18)
R4-6: SC around (18)
R7-15: (in grey) SC around.

Eyes make 2:  
R1: SC 6

Ears make 2:
R1: SC3
R2: INC around (6)
R3: 1SC, INC around (9)
R4-5: SC around (9)

Cape:
R1: Ch26
R2: TRC 2^nd chain from hook TRC across (25)
R3-18: TRC across (25)

Belt: For the belt it’s kind of optional, but I just took 6 strands of yellow yarn and did sail knots (or the 4 knot for those who made friendship bracelets) with 3 strands each just alternating sides. Otherwise I recommend making a thick braid…

Assembly: Stuff everything! Sew the eyes to the head, the ears to the head, the legs and arms to each corner of the body, sew the head to the body, attach the cape, and tie the belt to the body.

for the mouth I used a sharpie and just drew the mouth on, but I’d recommend either using felt and cutting and sewing one on or embroider with black and red.
